About Us

POLARIS: The Museum Mentor Network is an online professional development network open to museum professionals from across the sector at all stages of their career focused on mentoring and leadership development activities. POLARIS launched in 2020 and is now close to 1200 users. The online platform presents an array of offerings including a directory of colleagues offering/seeking mentoring and career support, self-study modules, online discussions, newsletters, and webinars. POLARIS members have opportunities to develop mentoring relationships, craft a leadership plan, and deepen skills. As a growing community of practice, POLARIS members explore in solidarity questions of how mentoring and leadership can support self-empowerment, DEAI, capacity-building, and lifelong learning.  Join POLARIS for free by registering here.
